Introduction:

Through the use of markers recommended by the International Society for Animal Genetics (ISAG) in different breeds, Genexa provides the ancestry and/or descendancy verification service by DNA using state-of-the-art equipment and databases of more than 500,000 analyzed animals.

About the study:

From different types of biological samples, a unique DNA profile of the animal is obtained. The laboratory performs paternity and/or maternity determination within the same service through comparison of the offspring’s profile with the profile(s) of the alleged father and/or mother. The report issued by the laboratory includes the ancestry and/or descendancy analysis of the animal. The laboratory has an additional panel of markers recommended by the International Society for Animal Genetics (ISAG) for cases of single exclusion.
